Indiana War Memorial & Museum

Outdoor Memorial Plaza

The memorial stands on four acres with six monuments featuring granite panels inscribed with the names of more than 300 Hoosiers who lost their lives in service during World War I, the Vietnam War, World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Gulf Wars.

In addition to these monuments are several sculptures by renowned artists such as Daniel Chester French, including a bronze sculpture depicting an infantryman flanked by two eagles honoring those who died in WWI. The plaza also features flags from all fifty states and one representing each military branch.

Inside the Museum

Inside the museum, you can explore its vast collection of artifacts that range from personal items belonging to servicemen to weapons and equipment used during wartime. A visit to the Indiana War Memorial & Museum wouldn't be complete without exploring the interactive exhibits that detail many aspects of history, such as propaganda posters, photographs, letters and journals written by soldiers, and much more.
